EBC Meetings and Programs
The Evanston Bicycle Club meets the third Tuesday of most months at 7 p.m. at the Evanston Ecology Center, 2024 McCormick Blvd. BUT on Tuesday, August 18, EBC will meet at the Council Ring near Lighthouse Beach in Evanston, which is on Sheridan Road near Central Street.

Join us for a summer club meeting outdoors at the Jens Jensen Council Ring near Lake Michigan. Dave Barish will emcee as seven club members share bicycling stories. Perhaps you'll have one to share. The meeting will start at 7 pm, half an hour earlier than usual. Come as early as 6 pm to roast marshmallows or wander through the Jens Jensen-designed gardens during the golden hour. Evanston garden stewards have spent the past several years revitalizing the gardens and grounds.

Logistics: Lighthouse Beach and the Harley Clarke Mansion are on Sheridan Road near Central Street in Evanston. The Council Ring is off the parking lot between the beach and the mansion. Be prepared to walk down steps to the Council Ring, where seating is on stone. For more comfortable seating, bring a pad, or set up a chair near the ring. Refreshments will be available starting at 6 pm. Parking in the lot is free for Evanston residents. Non-residents can pay at the station or park on nearby streets, such as Central Street. In case of rain, please check the EBC website or your email for meeting updates before heading over.
