Tuesday Moderate Ride – May 12th – 9:00 AM – Panera
This week we are scheduled to ride to Forest Home Cemetery in Forest Park. We’ll visit the Haymarket Monument, Emma Goldman’s grave, the famed Dissenter’s Row, and a Druid monument. Here is a link to the route I will use: Forest Home 2023 · Ride with GPS. Our total distance will be about 46 miles. I will ride at a moderate (13 – 15 mph) pace. With enough interest Len will lead a second group at a slightly faster pace. Lunch will be at Russell’s BBQ before we visit the cemetery.
It appears that our twenty minutes of Spring is over and that Summer is here. Tuesday’s forecast predicts a high temperature of 89 degrees with cloudy skies and growing windy later in the day. The wind will be from the SSW at 20 to 30 mph, which means we will have a tail wind for most of the return trip.
