Tuesday Moderate Ride – October 28th – 9:00 AM – Panera
It’s time for another Halloween House Tour. This year we will visit four decorated homes, three that we visited last year and a new home with a spooky art theme and the means for visitors to become part of the art. (See the attached photo.) We will also ride a short limestone section of the Robert McClory Trail that features a lot of Halloween decorations. Lunch will be at a long time EBC favorite – Once Upon a Bagel.
Here is a link to the route I will be using: Halloween House Tour 2025 · Ride with GPS. Our total distance will be around 32 miles. I will ride at a moderate (13 – 15 mph) pace. With enough interest there will be a second slightly faster group led by Will. Because of its frequent stops and occasional slow rolls to look at decorations, if you are primarily interested in a good workout, this would not be the ride for you. If on the other hand you’d like to use your bike to get an up-close look at a sampling of North Shore Halloween decorations, please join us.
Tuesday’s forecast is promising for a fall ride. The temperature range during the course of the ride should be between 50 and 56 degrees. The wind will be out of the ESE at 10 to 20 mph. It will be cloudy, but there is only a 16% chance of precipitation. If the weather Tuesday morning is less than promising, I will post a cancelation notice to the listserv by 7:30 AM, earlier if possible.
