the Weber Spur
This will be really nice.  It's already possible to ride the northern 2/3 of this old railroad ROW, but it's pretty rough with stones and weeds. I ride and/or walk it occasionally, because it's very pretty, and convenient.

I hope that CDOT/CParkD do not plan to spend gobs of bike-route money on replacing the prefectly serviceable bridges (which were designed to carry railroad cars and locomotives weighing 50+ tons, and so would still be fine for CDOT/CParkD light trucks).  (The main beneficiaries of replacing/raising the bridge over Peterson Ave. would be trucking interests, who should pay for it if they want it.)  Chicago severely overspent on the 606 Bloomingdale (rails-to-)Trail bridge-raising extravaganza.

I also see no need to replace the at-grade crossing at Pulaski & Granville with an expensive bridge.  Chicago should save money for more/other bike/ped projects.

Definitely good news. It would link to the existing, but little-used, stretch of trail from Devon north to Touhy in Lincolnwood. That starts on the south side of Touhy just a little west of the North Shore Channel Trail. So when this new portion gets built it would provide an almost-all-trails route from the Evanston Ecology Center to the North Branch Trail near where it ends at Foster (and actually go a bit farther south). Plus a new route to Superdawg!

This looks like good news. I plan to ride to the meeting.
